Spring Clean
THE 2023 SPRING CLEAN
Saturday, May 20, 10am-4pm Oakwood Secondary School at 11600 Magnolia Blvd., North Hollywood
Bring your new and gently-used clothing, blankets, sports equipment, books and school supplies to support underserved communities in our partner network.
Backpack Drive
Our goal is simple: collect hundreds of backpacks and the school supplies to fill them all to get LA-area students ready to go back to school. Our most recent Drive delivered more than 500 supply-filled backpacks to LADPSS.
Backpacks and supplies will be distributed by the LA County Dept of Public Social Services (DPSS) as part of its annual drive. S2S volunteers will be on hand to help distribute supplies to students and their families.
Knocks 4 Socks
In 2023, we kicked-off our first annual Knocks 4 Socks campaign, raising over 1000 pairs of warm, clean socks for unhoused people in Los Angeles. In addition to the generous sock donations of friends and family, contributions for this initiative were also raised through the grass roots efforts of team leaders and volunteers who canvassed their own communities door-to-door, on behalf of S2S and our partners at the LA Mission and Los Angeles Women’s Shelter.
